Try exporting that single page to excel and see how it goes. Basically, when i convert an excel sheet into an adobe pdf, my borders get screwed up (typically thickened). File > export to > spreadsheet > microsoft excel tools (right hand pane) export pdf toolbar > spreadsheet > microsoft excel workbook > export what it doesn't say is.
